We are committed to reimagining education to meet the needs of all students. The future might rely on distance learning and we need to get it right. If we don’t build teachers’ skills in digital technologies or further support students in marginalized communities, we will exacerbate the learning gap.

Teach For All is working to:

Mobilize our network of +100,000 teachers and alumni to amplify stories of teacher resilience and innovation in order to spark further entrepreneurship and share insights useful for others to reach the most marginalized students and protect the continuity of learning.

Harness the innovation of teacher leaders to design, adopt, and disseminate scalable approaches in distance learning and virtual training to support other teachers and educators at a broader systems level.

Gather insights from across our global network on how to reimagine education in the wake of COVID-19. We believe this starts with reorienting education systems around broader outcomes such as local ownership, student agency, and mental health, to support students and teachers in making the successful transition back to school. This also includes strengthening relationships around learning (e.g. between students and parents, parents and teachers, etc.) and addressing students' differentiated academic and social-emotional needs.

Commitment

Teach For All is a global network of 53 independent partner organizations and a global organization that works to accelerate the progress of the network. Both work together to develop the collective leadership needed to ensure all children are able to fulfill their full potential. In response to COVID-19, we are mobilizing our network of +100,000 teachers and education leaders to ensure that the most marginalized students are safe and continue learning. We are working to gather insights for how to reopen schools better and scale up new and existing initiatives around distance learning, virtual training in support of teachers, and reaching students in low-bandwidth communities utilizing alternative platforms.

Now more than ever, we are seeing the need for local leaders in education to support the unprecedented numbers of out-of-school children and those at risk of never returning to the classroom. To achieve this, Teach For All is leveraging its existing relationships with government and other stakeholders to tap into the resilience and innovation of teacher leaders to scale solutions for reaching the most vulnerable and reimagine education in the wake of this pandemic.
