Commitment
With a focus on the needs of the most vulnerable children during this unprecedented time, World Vision commits to mitigating the impact of disruptions to education on the poorest and most marginalized as the need for distance learning solutions increases and as schools reopen. We commit to closing the digital divide by offering support for a range of high-tech, low-tech, and no-tech distance learning options to children and youth impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. These include digital play- and story-based learning content and supplementary materials for teachers and parents in contexts that can support them, off-grid hardware solutions for digital content, hard-copy household learning kits and instructional materials for parents and caregivers, and our networks of community-based practitioners prepared to support teachers, parents, and caregivers in the transition to distance learning and back-to-school campaigns.
