Teachers are at the heart of learning. SEAMEO and its 26 specialised units will provide capacity building for teachers and human resource development for education personnel, technical assistance and consultancy services on remote and e-learning platforms, free forum or policy dialogue and webinars, policy research and development services in education, publication and information dissemination services as well as networking and strategic partnership to help the unreached and needy children.

SEAMEO is a chartered intergovernmental organization established to promote cooperation in education, culture and science in Southeast Asia. It has 26 Regional Centres and Networks as well as the Secretariat based in Bangkok, Thailand.

SEAMEO's commitment is to promote continuity of learning using SEAMEO's platform, mechanisms and innovation. SEAMEO has the capacity to do massive open and online courses for free for teachers, share its online teaching and learning resources, use time-tested model of innovation in reaching the unreached population in the region, as well as contribute to research and innovation. The 26 SEAMEO Centres and Networks in Southeast Asia have training facilities and innovative technology for teaching and learning in education, culture and science. SEAMEO Webinars, High Level Ministerial Forum, Lectures Series and SEAMEO LMS will be available to support remote training at this time of pandemic.
