LabXchange differs from other online learning platforms by engaging educators as co-developers and offering the opportunity to give feedback and ensure the ongoing effectiveness of the platform. LabXchange also allows educators to meet students where they are with personalized lessons, and makes it possible to mix and match digital resources to create customized, differentiated pathways.
To help ease the transition for both educators and students to online learning, we have assembled a collection of remote learning resources on our platform. We can also provide free training to groups of teachers, administrators, or public servants who are interested in introducing LabXchange to their community.
Our free professional development webinars show educators how LabXchange can support differentiated, student-centered online learning, develop student lab skills and scientific literacy, and help students explore STEM careers.

LabXchange is a new project at Harvard funded by the Amgen Foundation that makes the best of digital science education available to the world for free through a flexible, interactive online platform that promotes teaching, community, and collaboration.
LabXchange content includes virtual lab simulations and interactive animations that can be remixed into customized learning narratives. Meanwhile, social features like private classes, discussion forums, and mentorship empower and connect learners with educators and researchers worldwide, encouraging all users to take control of their learning.

Whether due to economic or geographic limitations, too many students in lack opportunities to engage meaningfully in the scientific process.
Globally, this has led to significant gaps in diversity across scientific fields and in scientific literacy overall. LabXchange democratizes education by putting the power to create personalized online learning in the hands of everyone. By providing tools that foster blended learning, LabXchange engages users in design, iteration, and problem-solving, while supporting individual exploration.
