Quality Education is a key UN-SDG goal for 2030, aiming to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
Even before COVID-19, Africa’s smaller communities were behind. Digital learning offers many benefits, but few mass implementations in Sub-Sahara due to scarce communication infrastructure.
Combining satellite communications and digital learning, governments can efficiently and cost-effectively deploy nationwide e-educational programs, with unique advantages:
• Wide reach – enable connectivity anywhere, including most remote rural areas.
• Equality – providing the same level of education to all students, no matter where they live or socio-economic status.
• Extension – the best teachers and moderators train new teachers.
• Quick deployment – satellite services can be deployed immediately for instant, widespread use of updated educational materials.
• Independency – satellites do not depend on other communication infrastructures.
• Efficiency – satellite is most suitable for addressing very large audiences.
Spacecom provide end-to-end educational projects that require one-way and broadband connectivity in remote and unconnected communities, and broadcasting of educational TV channels to large populations.
Spacecom provides free and lower-cost satellite capacity over Sub-Sahara during the crisis, and satellite-based services to enable immediate access to distant learning to all the population during and after this crisis.
