Supporting and empowering educators

UNODC, through its Education for Justice (E4J) initiative, has worked with teachers worldwide to enhance education on rule of law issues. Promoting the rule of law requires a whole of society approach, and education can empower children and youth to promote positive change in their societies. Therefore, UNODC can develop and implement teacher training activities with a specific focus on rule of law issues at the primary and secondary levels, including a focus on how they relate to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Commitment

UNODC, through its Education for Justice (E4J) initiative, is committed to empower children and youth to become socially responsible global citizens with a sound moral and ethical compass, while also being prepared to tackle the world’s challenges related to the rule of law. COVID-19 also presents us with rule of law challenges and, for this reason, learning on these topics must also not stop.

As part of its mission to implement the Doha Declaration, UNODC is committed to continue empowering children and youth to act for the rule of law through the creation of dynamic tools and materials and teacher training - both online and offline. With a network of field offices and present in all continents, UNODC continues to work with Member States to empower children and youth to promote positive change in their societies.
