Commitment
Since our founding in 1951, World Education has worked in 60 countries to improve the quality of education, expand access to learning opportunities and advance career and economic mobility for vulnerable communities.
World Education is committed to continuing our work to strengthen learning systems and to support equitable access to education and support services. Our COVID-19 response efforts focus on mitigating the short-term consequences of the new coronavirus, while also continuing our implementation of the life-changing work we have always done. World Education has been working with partners to plan activities that meet the needs of programs and people most affected.
The EdTech Center @ World Education has rapidly mobilized resources to support thousands of educators, practitioners, programs and partners around the world at the onset of COVID-19 closures, including free coaching, technical assistance and guidance on setting up distance education programs. We are also working with digital learning content providers to ensure that teachers and programs have access to special offers available during the pandemic and that their offerings align with the needs of learners. World Education designed and leads Digital US, a coalition of 25 organizations to build the technology skills and digital resilience of all learner-workers.
