Commitment

ECW and its partners in the countries are supporting the equitable continuation of learning during the COVID-19 pandemic through available media platforms such as radio/tv or digital learning. The ECW partners are developing various context-specific learning models focusing on different age groups. ECW Partners at the national level, through their response, strengthen the education system in terms of technical assistance and development of learning materials for use nationally and the prioritized territories affected by previous crises/emergencies. ECW partners on the ground are also supporting the governments in terms of strengthening monitoring system in the reopening of safe school post COVID-19.

On a broader level, the partnerships among ECW implementing partners, Governments, and Education sector partners in the country will be leveraged to enable an education system-wide scale-up to respond to the unprecedented extent of the educational disruption. The goal of the ECW COVID-19 Education Response is to ensure children are kept safe and continue learning and to have a lasting positive impact on the education systems in their respective countries.
