Strengthen gender equality in and through education

Girls and women are often the most marginalized when it comes to the languages used in learning programs and materials; they cannot learn what they need to know to stay safe and healthy, because they do not speak the language being used. SIL's commitment to providing access to culture- and language-appropriate learning materials for minoritized language communities is especially important for providing women and girls in these communities with the opportunity to gain vital knowledge about COVID-19, in order to keep their families safe and healthy.
