Commitment

J-WEL offers a range of digital resources and is engaging educators, technologists, and policymakers in virtual events to help develop capabilities and capacity to respond to this crisis. A key element of J- WEL’s mission is to work with others to mobilize and transform education worldwide for the digital economy. Our efforts include Full STEAM Ahead, an online resource and activity hub, and the multi- week J-WEL Connections virtual event, which addresses topics ranging from curriculum redesign to virtual collaboration and leadership. We facilitate the use of MIT’s open resources and serve as a clearinghouse of practices and programs from our global membership to advance access and quality.

We are committed to helping educational systems worldwide take advantage of the rich array of freely available educational resources created by MIT, including MIT OpenCourseWare and MITx materials, and to supporting the wider J-WEL community in sharing resources and effective practices from their own institutions with the global educational community. We have demonstrated experience with seeking equitable solutions for and universal access to education, and helping underserved countries in mobilizing resources to implement innovative and sustainable education at the pk-12 through workforce learning levels.
